In the coming days, many media outlets will report and write stories leading up to the trial to remind readers/viewers about the case. This are usually called "pre-trial stories" or a "walk-up." The news peg (or the why we are writing the story now) for a story that is mostly background is necessary to tell the reader. In this case: "The trial starts Monday and for the first time the public will hear what evidence prosecutors have against George Wagner IV."
In this case, Court TV will stream the trial. Yours truly was a guest on the show "Closing Arguments," last night. You can see the show here.
I am hearing that the Cincinnati Enquirer, Court TV, Dateline, local TV stations and several national news outlets will be covering the trial off and on. I will be writing, when news warrants for the Washington Post.
